Just In Time For Christmas Break: Ice Rinks Begin to Open in Minneapolis Parks

Via a December 24 e-newsletter from the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board:

Ice Rinks Begin to Open in Minneapolis Parks

Lace up your skates – ice rinks are beginning to open in Minneapolis parks. The recent stretch of cold temperatures has allowed Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) crews to open some rinks beginning Dec. 26 in time for league play, and all rinks by Jan. 1, weather permitting. Currently, the only rink open as of Dec. 24 is the hockey rink at McRae Park. The daily status of each of the MPRB’s 47 rinks at 22 parks can be viewed online throughout the season at www.minneapolisparks.org/rinks.
