NATIFS “Indigenize Your Kitchen” Holiday Gift Boxes Available Starting October 12

North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems (NATIFS) has relaunched its Indigenous Food Lab Market (IFL Market), an online shop offering an expanded selection of high-quality Indigenous foods and products, including maple syrups, fruit syrups, sauces, pantry staples, traditional Indigenous ingredients and Chef Sherman’s cookbooks, as well as a new collection of holiday gift boxes.

Owned and operated by NATIFS, the Indigenous Food Lab Market works to broaden access to Native-made goods, provide consumers with opportunities to experience contemporary Indigenous food offerings and empower Indigenous entrepreneurs to reach new audiences.

“Supporting Indigenous food producers means more than purchasing a product — it means helping create a marketplace where Native entrepreneurs can build their businesses, share their foods and reach consumers who may not otherwise have access to them. The Indigenous Food Lab Market gives producers a place to connect directly with customers and helps us build greater access to Indigenous foods and foodways.”  Sean Sherman, Oglala Lakota chef and co-founder of NATIFS and the Indigenous restaurant Indígena by Owamni

Just in time for the holiday season, NATIFS is bringing back gift boxes, available beginning October 12 through the IFL Market online, and in person at Indígena by Owamni (in the Guthrie). The collection features multiple boxes showcasing Indigenous foods and products from a range of Native producers and makers.
