Amplify The Ave! Retail & Bar Crawl and Scavenger Hunt, October 29

AMPLIFY THE AVE!
First Avenue Retail & Bar Crawl and Scavenger Hunt in Downtown Minneapolis
Thursday, October 29, 4p-8p

The City of Minneapolis has been developing a plan for the reconstruction of several blocks of 1st Avenue North between Washington Avenue and 8th Street N that will start with utility work in 2027 and wrapping up in 2029. The project is improving the right-of-way for all people in all the ways they move around.

In an effort to support the retail and hospitality businesses affected in the construction area, the Minneapolis Downtown Council and Downtown Improvement District will host Amplify the Ave! Retail & Bar Crawl on October 29. Each location will be offering food and beverage specials, activities, games, live music, and more to event participants.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the scavenger hunt featuring missions at each of the participating businesses. Complete five missions or go for bonus points, either way attendees will get a chance to win gift cards from participating businesses valued at $50 or more.

Details:

Crawlers will check in at Jackson’s Hole Bar & Grill, 106 N 3rd Street, starting at 4pm. The first 100 people to register will get an orange Warehouse District branded construction cone hat! Then, they’ll make their way down First Avenue, complete scavenger hunt-style missions via the Goosechase App at each stop, upload their photos, collect points, and end at Kieran’s Irish Pub, 85 N 6th Street, to claim prizes.

Participating locations (in alphabetical order): Gluek’s, Hermine, Jackson’s Hole Bar & Grill, Kieran’s Irish Pub, Last Call Bar & Grill, Madges Home + Market, O’Donovan’s, The Depot, The Loon Café, The Residency, Smorgie’s Minneapolis, and Soundwoven Goods

Registration is FREE: Amplify the Ave! Retail + Bar Crawl / Scavenger Hunt Link via Goosechase / Amp the Ave Map

“First Avenue is an iconic street in the heart of the warehouse and entertainment district. We remain optimistic about the vitality of the businesses, retailers, restaurants, artists, and entrepreneurs, and we want to lift them up with this exciting event…Amplify the Ave!"
