Traffic Alert - Hennepin Avenue Closure Update for June 10

Via a June 8 City of Minneapolis e-newsletter:

Portion of Hennepin Avenue northbound in Downtown to close overnight Wednesday, June 10

Northbound Hennepin Avenue, from Third Street North to First Street North will close at 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 10 until 5 a.m., Thursday, June 11.

A signed detour diverting traffic from Third Street North to First Avenue North to First Street North and back to Hennepin Avenue will be place during the closure. Southbound Hennepin Avenue and Washington Avenue will remain open.

A utility company will excavate two sections of the street to deactivate and cap an old gas line during the closure.
