Sign up for New Adult Bags Leagues at The Commons this Summer!

Eight-week season launches in late July

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is excited to announce new adult Bags leagues at The Commons in Downtown Minneapolis this summer!

Bags, also known as cornhole, sack toss or bean bag, is a popular lawn game in which players take turns throwing square cloth bags at a raised board with a hole in the far end. A bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the board scores 1 point. Play continues until a team reaches or exceeds 21 points by means of cancellation scoring.

The new leagues are on Tuesday or Thursday nights beginning July 23 and 25. Two-person teams will compete during a seven-week regular season, followed by a championship round on Sept. 12, in which teams from both nights will play against each other to crown an overall champion.
