Hennepin County to Host Open Data Event Feb 21 and 22

Via a February 18 Hennepin County e-newsletter:

Hennepin County to host open data event

Hennepin County is hosting Geo:Code, its first code-a-thon. This event will bring together teams of geographers, technology developers and coders, and Hennepin County community members to create technology solutions that improve county services, give residents greater access to government data and make a difference in our communities.

The event will highlight Hennepin County government-produced data available to the public free of charge and without need for a license. The county has made more than 40 public datasets of geographic information systems (GIS) data available that can be used to create civic apps and software programs, with more to be released soon.

WHEN

  • From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days
