CenterPoint Energy's 4th Street Update

Crews from Michels Corporation, an authorized CenterPoint contractor, continue installing natural gas distribution pipe along 4th Street in the following locations:

From 1st Avenue N. to Hennepin Avenue:
• Beginning today, the northern and southern parking lanes and one southern driving lane will be closed.
• Crews will begin installing pipe along this block tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16.
• Please anticipate crews to return to the intersection of 1st Avenue N. and 4th Street N. this coming weekend.
 
From Marquette Avenue S to Nicollet Mall:
• Crews completed current pipe installation along this block. Please expect construction to resume in the coming weeks.
• Beginning today, crews will begin construction at the intersection of 4th Street S. and Nicollet Mall.

Three lanes of traffic on 4th Street, from 2nd Avenue N. to Marquette Avenue S., will remain open during rush hour and reducing to two lanes between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Please drive slowly and use caution in the areas of construction. Please note that businesses will be open during construction. For more information, please visit our website. Thank you.
