2011 Minneapolis Riverfront Flashback - Gems Along the Mississippi River Trail with the Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership [Photos]

A walk with park historian David Smith, Commissioner Liz Wielinski, and Marshall Terrace resident and AFCAC co-facilitator Mary Jamin Maguire visited three riverfront park gems: Marshall Terrace, Edgewater, and Gluek Riverside.
We followed Marshall Street, formerly the Red River Oxcart Trail, and now the multi-state Mississippi River Trail. We discussed the Above the Falls and the MRDI River First plans to complete a continuous riverfront park with walking/biking trails, connecting these riverfront parks. On the route were the Lowry Bridge and the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization headquarters - both currently under construction. We concluded with a visit to the Sample Room for a treat and conversation.
The Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership hosted this event, thanks!
