MacPhail Kids Rock is a camp for young rock musicians. Students are placed in bands and learn how to collaborate with fellow rockers. The Rock Band Crawl around MacPhail will visit several bands in rehearsal for their final performances.

The mission of the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra is to bring the power and pleasure of live orchestra concerts performed by professional musicians to the Twin Cities community, free of charge. Since 1950 the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra has been making a difference in the community by offering summertime concerts at various park locations.

Blount is the author of 22 previous books, covering subjects from the Pittsburgh Steelers to Robert E. Lee to what dogs are thinking. A regular panelist on NPR’s “Wait, Wait... Don’t Tell Me“ and a member of the American Heritage Dictionary Usage Panel, his "Alphabetter Juice" is a sequel to his wildly popular "Alphabet Juice,” which uses his signature wordplay, insightful humor and linguistic skill to further explore the literality and physicality of language.

In 1988 the Minnesota State Legislature established the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Board for the purpose of providing interpretive resources for the public within the St. Anthony Falls Heritage Zone encircling the Minneapolis central riverfront, an area rich in natural, scenic, recreational and historic elements. Since 1988, the Heritage Board has funded, guided, and spurred countless developments and interpretive efforts along the Minneapolis Riverfront.

Stroll through the Minneapolis’ oldest neighborhood with a Mill City Museum guide, who will talk about the rich past and exciting future of historic Main Street. The tour will highlight the life in the village of St. Anthony, changes along Main Street throughout the years, and such landmarks as the 1855 Upton Block, 1858 Martin & Morrison Building, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, the Pillsbury A Mill and the Chalybeate Mineral Springs. This tour will begin and end at Pracna Restaurant, 117 Main Street S.E. Tours include admission to Mill City Museum.

An In Conversation with former company member and Emmy Award nominee Rainn Wilson and Guthrie Director Joe Dowling as the two discuss Wilson's celebrated career in theater, television and film.
Best known for his roles as Dwight Schrute on the award-winning series "The Office" and as Arthur Martin in the HBO hit drama "Six Feet Under," Rainn Wilson first made his mark at the Guthrie during Joe Dowling's inaugural season in 1996, appearing in Philadelphia, Here I Come! and in 1998 with stand-out performances in The Venetian Twins and The Importance of Being Earnest. In addition to the Guthrie, Wilson's theater credits include performances in two Broadway plays, London Assurance and The Tempest, along with several roles in off-Broadway productions. Over the years he has been involved in a variety of independent and blockbuster films as well as numerous guest appearances on multiple TV shows.
The Guthrie's In Conversation series invites patrons to hear directly from playwrights, artists and cultural leaders. Each event concludes with a Q & A session with the audience.
