September 29, 2016, Thursday - Public Forum: Samatar Crossing (5th Street Reconnection)

Time:  7:00pm

Location: Normandy Inn, Continental Room, 405 S 8th Street

Public Forum: Samatar Crossing (5th Street Reconnection)

Join Council Members Warsami and Frey along with City staff in a conversation about the proposed 5th Street Reconnection (to be named Samatar Crossing).

Samatar Crossing will restore the physical connection between Downtown Minneapolis and Cedar-Riverside by converting the now closed 5th Street freeway exit ramp into a traversable through-way between 11th Ave S & 15th Ave S.

Multiple concepts as to how this road will be designed and the modes of transportation that will be prioritized are being evaluated. Come to this meeting to provide feedback on potential designs and learn more about their anticipated impact on traffic.
