Today at Mill City Farmers Market: Oktoberfest with Mill City Museum

Celebrate the bountiful fall harvest this Saturday as the Mill City Museum and Mill City Farmers Market team up for the Ninth Annual Mill City Oktoberfest! Make sure to check out special activities at the Farmers Market, inside the museum and outside in the Ruin Courtyard.

Produce: Apples (Haralson, Honeycrisp, Sweet 16, Chestnut crabs), arugula, basil, beets, bell peppers, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cherry tomatoes, chives, cilantro, cippollini onions, cucumbers, dill, eggplant, fennel, garlic, ginger, green beans, green shallots, ground cherries, hollow hear vegetable, huckleberries, kale, lemongrass, lettuce, mache, mint, mouse melons, mushrooms, oregano, pac choi, parsley, parsnips, pears, potatoes, pumpkins, radicchio, radishes, raspberries, sage, salad mix, scallions, shallots, shiitake, sorrel, spinach, squash (delicata, acorn, butternut, carnival, kabocha), summer squash, sweet corn, Swiss chard, tarragon, thyme, tomatillos, turmeric, turnips, vitamin greens, watercress, zucchini, and much more!!

Indeed Brewing will be pouring samples of several brews, including their Dandy Lager and Sweet Yamma Jamma Harvest Ale, the perfect beers to pair with your autumnal finds.

This week’s 10 am Cooking Demo will feature Market Chef Heather Hartman making a hearty fall recipe: Braised Cabbage Rolls with Beef and Brown Rice in a Tomato-Herb Sauce and topped with a Dill Sour Cream. From 11 am to 1 pm, Mill City welcomes back long-time Market favorite, the Elk River German Band, a 10-member ensemble featuring Bavarian-style German music. It's polka time!
