September 22, 2019, Sunday - Festival of Giving at Nicollet Island Pavilion

Time: 12 noon – 4 pm

Location: Nicollet Island Pavilion, 40 Power Street

Doing Good Together™ presents: Festival of Giving

Our Festival of Giving is a one-of-a-kind event that promotes kindness, service, and community engagement. For the second year, we are collaborating with a variety of local organizations to offer fun activities focused on “giving back.”

Tickets are just $5/person or a maximum of $20/family.

Festival activities will include:

Hands-on service projects, including:

  • Assembling hygiene kits for Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities to help those experiencing homelessness
  • Decorating pillowcases for My Very Own Bed to help children and families transitioning into stable housing
  • Braiding dog toys for ACT V Rescue and Rehabilitation
  • Packing newborn baby necessities with Second Stork to support newborns and families in need, throughout Minnesota.
  • Downsizing rice and lentils for individuals visiting the Neighborhood House food markets.

Multicultural performances from COMPAS and Kalpulli Ketzal Coatlicue, Duniya Drum and Dance, and Tay Phuong Lions

Yoga sessions and mindfulness crafts with Learning Tree Yoga

Music Fun with MacPhail Center for Music

Cooperative kindness-themed art installation

Fun, kid-friendly kindness activities

Clothesline of donated socks

Big-hearted resources and products

Festival food and drink (e.g. corn dogs, mini donuts, lemonade) available for purchase

Mystery Gift Box Game and Silent Auction to raise money for DGT™
