zAmya Theater Project Presents: "Home Street Home"
5,000 more homes, a Nicollet Mall redesign, a new Vikings stadium and a goal to end street homelessness...
Meet street musician Zeke Cooper at the Done (being homeless) Brothers Coffeeshop for a tour to meet people, homeless and housed, downtown. Home Street Home was created by its actors – most of whom have experienced homelessness – through interviews with people who live, work, pray, and play downtown. It is presented in the signature zAmya Theater style, blending music, comedy, and the truth.
There will be a short talk back with the actors and audience following this one hour show
Home Street Home is presented in partnership with the Downtown 2025 Committee to End Street Homelessness. zAmya Theater is a program of St. Stephen’s Human Services whose mission is to end homelessness.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
These three performances of Home Street Home are sponsored by by the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association.
