November 16 - 19
Returning for a fifth year, this November 16-19, 2017, Cine Latino is among the key showcases of Ibero and Ibero-American cinema in the United States. This year, screenings and events will take place at the Film Society’s hub, the St. Anthony Main Theatre in Downtown Minneapolis MN, as well as other venues across the Twin Cities (TBD).
Presented by the Film Society of Minneapolis St. Paul, Cine Latino is Minnesota’s largest showcase of Spanish-language cinema from around the world, featuring new narrative and documentary films from some of the world’s most acclaimed and up-and-coming Spanish-language filmmakers.
Cine Latino 2017 will offer another rich tapestry of stories from across the vast cultural, social and historical landscape that is Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, taking us on a journey across geography, history, age, gender, social and political issues and the complexities of human relationships. The 2017 showcase will have a focus on Mexican cinema.
