“Celebrating Jewish Music" featuring Eisner's Klezmorim
Through klezmer music, song, dance and storytelling, the five piece klezmer band will highlight two events in Eastern European Jewish tradition: shabes, or the day of rest, and the wedding. The audience can participate through nigunim (wordless songs), dancing and taking part in the stories.
Plus, before and after each concert, kids of all ages will get the chance to meet the musicians and try the instruments featured in the performance.
About Free Family Music Series
A family event for music-loving families, as well as for those who want to explore music for the first time! The centerpiece of this series is a live concert. Before and after each concert, the musicians will give free sample lessons to kids and adults on the instruments featured in the concert. MacPhail Early Childhood Music staff will also be on site to engage families in a music-themed art project. Light refreshments will follow the concert.
