February 16, 2015, Monday - DMNA Meeting and Community Forum at The Depot

Time:  5:30pm - 8:00pm

Location: The Depot, 225 3rd Avenue S

Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association monthly Board Meeting.

The next Downtown Minneapolis Board meeting is Monday, February 16th in the Great Hall at The Depot.  The business portion of the meeting begins at 5:30 pm, to be followed by a joint Joint Downtown & Mill District Neighborhood Associations Public Forum on the Nicollet Hotel Block at 7:00. Both portions of the evening are open to the public.   

Attend the first public presentation and a chance to weigh-in on the City's selected proposal for the Nicollet Hotel Block.  Q/A and meet&greet with Council Member Frey and the project team to follow.

Presentation highlights will include:

- Overview of preliminary plan for the plaza, which, when integrated with Cancer Survivors Park,has potential to create a significant new "park" Downtown;
- Overview of the project's  programmable vertical lighting system, a first of its kind installation in Minneapolis;
- Plans for future streetcar integration;and
- How this project is a strategic first step in linking Nicollet Mall to the River.

The next DMNA Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 16, 2015.
