Hold Fast Opening Reception

Truckstop Gallery presents St. Olaf’s 5th Year Emerging Artists Program, April 27 – May 17

Hold Fast features St. Olaf’s four emerging artists of 2018:

Artists Cailan Carpenter, Josh Torkelson, Holland Hardie, and Evan Weselmann

Cailan Carpenter is a ceramic artist whose work blurs the lines between functional pots and sculpture.  Josh Torkelson is a multi-media artist who explores the lines between permanence and the ephemeral in both two and three dimensions.  Holland Hardie creates layered prints focusing on outdoor patterns, both natural and human made.  Using bright colors and a large-scale Evan Weselmann’s paintings encourage viewers to contemplate deeper than the surface.

Trucksotp Gallery proudly supports St. Olaf’s Fifth Year Emerging Artists program, more information can be found at https://wp.stolaf.edu/art/5thyear/.  Trucksotp Gallery is an art gallery created by artists, for artists. Our intention is to showcase the highest caliber of work in an environment free of pretense.
