The stunning Minneapolis Central Library is conveniently located in downtown Minneapolis between Hennepin Avenue, the city's arts and theater district, and Nicollet Mall, the backbone of the city's business and shopping districts.

Designed to reflect residents' civic pride and deep commitment to education and literacy, Minneapolis Central Library offers nearly 100 percent access to its collection, the center of the third largest per capita public library collection of any major city in America with a collection of more than 2.4 million items--including books, DVDs, music, government documents and more.

More computers with free Internet access for free public use than any single building in the state - 300+ (up from 75 previously offered).

Public Internet Computers:

1st Floor:
Available: Firefox, Internet Explorer, JAWS, Magic screen enlarger, OpenOffice.
No scanners; no MS Word.

2nd, 3rd and 4th Floor:
Each public computer has everything the 1st floor computers have, plus:
6 are designated as "Computer Lab" and have the MS Office Suite, and other online resources, from their unique start page.
6 others have MS Word.
Scanners are attached to two of the remaining computers.
Computer Printers - color printing available on all floors, for $.50 per page.

Central Library has 6 scanners, 2 each on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Floors.

One B/W copier on each floor; $.10/page
One Color copier on 3rd floor; $.50 for 8.5x11; $1.00 for 11x17.
