Hennepin Avenue will reopen in both directions by Monday, April 13th

Project Status Update - Downtown Minneapolis

MN Limited, LLC. and Michels Corporation, two authorized CenterPoint Energy contractors, will continue installing natural gas pipeline in the following locations:

April 13:

    Hennepin Avenue will reopen in both directions.

April 13 to April 24:

    The corner of 2nd Avenue N., from 2nd Street N. to 1st Street N. will be closed. Please follow the posted detour.

Beginning April 13:

    Crews will begin installing natural gas transmission pipe along the south side of 1st Street S., from Hennepin Avenue to 2nd Avenue S. Parking will not be allowed in this area as construction progresses. Two-way traffic will be maintained.

April 13 to April 24:

    The driving lane and sidewalk on 3rd Avenue N., west of 2nd Street N. will reopen.

    The southern parking and bike lane on 3rd Avenue N., from 2nd Street N. to Washington Avenue N. will be closed during construction.

April 15 to April 29:

    Construction will continue along 2nd street N., from 3rd Avenue N. to 2nd Avenue N. A lane shift will occur in the area of construction from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Two-way traffic will be maintained. Construction will occur overnight as needed.
