Barokksolistene is a Norwegian early-music-on-period-instruments ensemble; Eike is Norway’s leading baroque violinist. They call what they play “just old pop music” and treat it as such. “It’s more like a jam session in a pub than a formal early music program,” Kempton said. “Much less reverential.” Though they will play Purcell.
