Siren Songs featuring Liv Redpath

In a program that celebrates women as both composers and as creative muses, remarkable soprano Liv Redpath returns after a stunning debut during the 18-19 Bakken season. Singer and muse Emma Bardac inspired the spontaneity of Faure's song cycle, while Previn's reverence for Toni Morrison's poems prompted him to write his Four Songs. The program ends with the dramatic and lyrical Quintet for Piano and Strings by Amy Beach, one of the most respected American composers of her era. — Pitnarry Shin
