Today at Mill City Farmers Market:

It is time to honor our namesake and historic locale with our annual Bread Fest! Join us for mini lectures from renowned local bakers and a book signing from Beth Dooley. Plus, enter your own loaf in our baking showcase to share the story of bread in your life! Simply drop off your best quick bread or yeasted bread in the train shed demo area by 9:30 on September 30 to enter the showcase. Learn, taste and share your tips with other home bakers and professionals. All showcase participants will receive a thank you gift from the market, including 2 complimentary mimosas or cappuccinos from Spoonriver restaurant, a Mill City Farmers Market hat or canvas tote bag and one 2 1/2lb bag of heritage flour from Sunrise Flour Mill! Power of Produce

Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information tent every Saturday! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.
