September 3, 2016, Saturday - Mississippi River Cleanup Day

Time: 11 am

Mississippi River Cleanup Day

Join the WAM Collective and teaching artist Sean Connaughty in collecting refuse found on the East and West Banks of the Mississippi River on the Twin Cities campus. Refuse found will be used to create a large-scale installation displayed on WAM’s front plaza during the U of M Open Streets celebration on October 1. The WAM Collective hopes to create awareness about pollution and the resonating effect it has on the great Mississippi River.
