Book Lovers Ball 2017: Celebrate the World Through Literature

Join Milkweed Editions to celebrate the world through literature at our largest annual fundraiser—featuring a seated dinner, live auction, presentation of the Milkweed Award for Distinguished Contributions to Literary Culture, storytelling from authors Amy & Dave Freeman, and more!

FEATURED AUTHORS

Explorers Dave and Amy Freeman have traveled thirty thousand miles by canoe, kayak, and dogsled through some of the world's wildest places, from the Amazon to the Arctic. In 2014, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC named them Adventurers of the Year. Amy & Dave's debut book, A YEAR IN THE WILDERNESS, is a rousing cry of witness activism and a beautifully illustrated account of their year living in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness to raise awareness about the threats of sulfide-ore copper mining.

Learn more about the Freemans and preorder the book: https://milkweed.org/book/a-year-in-the-wilderness

TICKETS

Individual tickets start at $175. Sponsorships and tables start at $2,000. All proceeds from the event support Milkweed Editions and our commitment to bring new voices to essential conversations and ensure a vibrant, diverse, and empowered future through literature.
