Today at Mill City Farmers Market: Oktoberfest!

Celebrate Minnesota’s brewing past and present as Mill City Museum and the Mill City Farmers Market team up for Mill City Oktoberfest! You’ll swear you’re in Munich with the tastes, smells, sights, and sounds around you at the Farmers Market, inside the museum, and outside in the Ruin Courtyard.
 
Produce Planner: Somerset seedless grapes, Beacon apples, Zestar apples, pears, sweet corn, cantaloupe, muskmelon, watermelon, blackberries, raspberries, ground cherries, herbs, arugula, kale, Swiss chard, green beans, edamame, brussel sprouts, head lettuce varietals, spinach, kohlrabi, broccoli, Romanesco cauliflower, cabbage, zucchini, summer squash, fresh mushrooms, baby bok choi, cilantro, mint, basil, carrots, rhubarb, red and golden beets, purslane, jalapeño peppers, bell peppers, sweet Italian peppers, cherry tomatoes, slicing and heirloom tomatoes, Japanese eggplant, filet beans, spring greens salad mix, spring onions, cippolini onions, red, white, and yellow onions,  garlic, radishes, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, turnips, butternut squash, buttercup squash, and more!
 
Mill City Cooks, 10 am:  Chef Heather Hartman will be joined today by Midwest Brew Supplies for a beer brewing demo, along with the Brew Master Paul Johnston from Day Block Brewing.
 
Beer and Whiskey Sampling, 10 am – 1 pm: One of Minneapolis’ new favorite breweries, Fulton Brewing Company,  will be pouring tasty samples of  fresh brews today. Meanwhile, local favorite 2 GINGERS Whiskey will be sampling both hot and cold cocktails, making adults very happy today indeed!
 
Live Music, 11am – 1pm:  MCFM welcomes back long-time Market favorite, the Elk River German Band, a 10-musician strong group featuring Bavarian-style German music. Prepare to polka!
 
Art Market, all day: Featuring Barnswallow Garden, Ty Aymond, Heinz Brummel, and Christy Wetzig.
 
Live Radio Broadcast, 11 am – 1 pm: MyTalk1071 And Hennepin County WIC will be broadcasting live from the Market for the MyTalk Farmers Market Tour!  WIC will be there to take questions and hand out free farmers market reusable bags!
