October 8, 2011, Saturday - Meals on Wheels Hosts 4th Annual MISSION NUTRITION
Time: 7:00pm
Location: Ritz Theater, 345 13th Avenue Northeast
Mission Nutrition, the live music and raffle hoopla and veritable who's-who in Northeast Minneapolis, is taking place 7:00 pm, Saturday, October 8, at the Ritz Theater. Tickets are $10; purchase at the door or by calling the Ritz Theater Box Office.
Featured bands include The Mighty Mofos, Alicia Corbett's Tea and Sympathy, Sister Gin, and Screaming Vermilion—band of the man with the plan, Event Chair Jeff Aronen. A surefire Midwest favorite Meat Raffle is taking place, as well as a raffle run by Northeast favorites Craig Drehmel of Gastro Non Grata and Jim Grell, owner of the Modern Café. You can take a load off and enjoy a chair massage as the event progresses.
Aronen is a volunteer driver and former Board Member of Northeast Dinner Bell and local band member for around twenty years. He knows everyone that hangs at the best dive bars and cafés - a key element in planning a killer bash, especially one run completely on volunteer power. Aronen says about the Arts District, “Northeast Minneapolis seemed like the perfect place to do an event, with its music community and its business community that is very generous.”
