October 6, 2019, Sunday - 38th Annual Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon 

The 38th Annual Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon weekend is Oct 4-6. 

Race day for the TC10 Mile and the Marathon is Sunday, October 6. The start line for the 10 Mile is on Portland Avenue and S 3rd Street, in between the Wells Fargo towers in downtown Minneapolis. This event will start at 7:00 a.m.  The Marathon will start on S 6th Street near Park Avenue at 8:00 a.m. 

There will an area around the start line that will close to traffic on October 6th. The area between 11th Avenue and 5th Avenue, along with the area between 7th Street and Washington Avenue. This area will also have No-Parking restrictions for Sunday October 6th.

They are expecting roughly 12,000 participants in the 10 mile race, and 7,000 participant in the Marathon.  The focal point of the pre-race gathering area is the Commons, along with a small portion of the light rail plaza near the stadium.  Amplified sound will begin at roughly 6:30 a.m. on October 6th.
