Talk of the Stacks

Talk of the Stacks, a free author series exploring contemporary literature and culture, will host four new programs this season all celebrating the publication of new works. Mark your calendars:

• Friday, October 25:  Acclaimed singer, songwriter and performance artist Dessa discusses her new yet to be titled poetry chapbook with Rain Taxi editor Eric Lorberer.
• Wednesday, November 13: Best-selling author Amy Tan shares her latest book, The Valley of Amazement, her first published novel in almost ten years.
• Thursday, December 12:  Award-winning poet Nikki Giovanni reads from her much anticipated new poetry collection, Chasing Utopia: A Hybrid.

Held at the Minneapolis Central Library, the programs are free and open to the public. Book sale/signings follow presentations. Seating is first-come, first-served.
