Not sure what to do with the kids home from school during MEA release days? Join Open Book for the first of their Family Days, a yearlong series of events to increase the visibility of Open Book's presence in the West Bank neighborhood and improve accessibility to programming at their founding tenant organizations. For the kickoff open house event, Open Book will be open to the public with experiences for kids and families on all floors of the building. There will be storytelling with Milkweed Editions, writing exercises with The Loft teaching artists, spoken word workshops and bookmaking activities with MCBA staff. There also will be refreshments, a raffle and information about more upcoming events in the Family Days series. Free and open to the public.
