Today at Mill City Farmers Market: Storage Crops!

Now is the perfect time to stock up on fresh produce to can, freeze, and store for the colder months coming up.  Grab a crate of tomatoes and make your own salsa and sauce to last you through Spring and an assortment of squash and pumpkins for those holiday meals around the corner!

Produce Planner:
Radishes, spinach, spring salad mixes, arugula, garlic, head lettuce, wild greens, rhubarb, carrots, beets, sorrel, fresh herbs, kale, Swiss chard, collards, peppers, sweet onions, red potatoes, brussel sprouts, heirloom tomatoes, cauliflower broccoli, green beans, eggplant, delicata, acorn, and butternut squash, cabbage, raspberries, green grapes, sweet corn, pumpkins, apples, and more!

Mill City Cooks, 10 am:
It’s Diabetes Prevention Day in the Kitchen. Chef Nick Schneider will be joined by special guests Dr. Robert “Bob” Suurmeyer, MD from Allina Health and Chef and Poet/Playwright Robert Kramini to provide tips on managing diabetes.  They will be cooking up Good Morning Poha, a traditional Indian dish.

The Cactus Blossoms are back again!  Named the “Best Country Band of 2012,” this five-piece Minnesotan band is sure to please!
