October 15, 2019, Tuesday - Minneapolis Vision Zero Action Plan Facebook Live Open House

Time: 6:00pm to 6:45pm

Everyone deserves to be safe moving around our city—no matter what neighborhood they are in, how they are getting around, or their age or background.

Together, we can make our streets safe for everyone. The draft Vision Zero Minneapolis Action Plan outlines steps we’ll take in the next 3 years to make progress towards our goal to eliminate traffic deaths and severe injuries on our streets.

We want to hear your thoughts on the draft plan. Join us for a Facebook Live open house on Tuesday, October 15, from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., where we’ll share an overview of the draft plan, answer your questions, and you can share your comments. For more info, please visit: https://www.facebook.com/events/2498687736880346/

The draft plan was developed by City staff across multiple departments with significant input and direction from community stakeholders, partner agencies, and the public. Thanks to the more than 3,000 people who shared feedback on traffic safety with us over the last 14 months to help shape this plan.

Draft Vision Zero Action Plan strategies include:
• Reducing speed limits.
• Making safety improvement on streets with the most severe crashes.
• Addressing leading unsafe traffic behaviors.
• Seeking to implement automated traffic enforcement.

You can see the full draft plan and share your comments at www.visionzerompls.com. Accepting comments on the draft plan through October 16.
