November 9, 2018, Friday - This is Our Downtown Exhibit in The Gallery at 900 Hennepin

Time: 12 Noon - 5pm

Location: Hennepin Theatre Trust, 900 Hennepin Ave

This is Our Downtown Exhibit in The Gallery at 900 Hennepin

This Is Our Downtown is a multi-media exhibition of original artwork by young people experiencing or transitioning out of homelessness. The exhibit is the result of a year-long series of artist residencies where youth collaborated with artists Wing Young Huie, John

KKC’s Executive Director Crystal Brinkman describes the exhibit, “Kulture Klub Collaborative continues to examine and uplift our youth’s relationship with downtown Minneapolis. Young people have always been an important part of the neighborhood. Their perspectives are often unheard and it’s powerful to witness them emerge through creative practice.” This Is Our Downtown captures a moment in Minneapolis’s history through the eyes of those who know it best.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. Additional support generously provided by the McKnight Foundation, Target Foundation and individual donors.

Public gallery hours: Fridays from October 19 through November 16 12:00-5:00 p.m. (Kulture Klub Collaborative representatives will be there from 12 - 2 p.m.)

Or make an appointment to see the exhibit by emailing maryjane.mansfield@hennepintheatretrust.org
