November 5, 2011, Saturday - Family Music Series at MacPhail presents New Orleans Jazz

Location: Antonello Hall, MacPhail Center for Music, 501 2nd Street South 

“New Orleans Jazz"  - featuring Jack Brass Band

Find yourself in the heart of New Orleans with the Jack Brass Band. Discover new twists on old favorites as you hear traditional jazz tunes, spirituals, modern street music and even some R&B. Follow the historical progression of the New Orleans brass band as the ensemble reveals the different roles of each member of the group.

Plus, before and after each concert, kids of all ages will get the chance to meet the musicians and try the instruments featured in the performance.
