Little Box Sauna (LBS) has teamed up with The 612 Sauna Society and The Musicant Group to bring the nordic sauna experience to the Piazza on the Mall!
Community members are invited to join The 612 Sauna Society for weekly open sauna sessions. The season kickoff will take place at the Piazza on the Mall every Thursday, Friday and Saturday (excluding Thanksgiving) from November 27th – December 20th.
Sauna sessions take place in 2 hour blocks between 5-7pm and 7-9pm. The sauna will be free and open to the public, with walk-ins welcome, but in order to secure a spot one must sign up for the seat lottery (registration coming soon.)
On Fridays from 6-8pm (Nov 27, Dec 4, Dec 11, Dec 18) there will be additional pro...gramming and activities along with:
- Accordion Musician – November 27
- Fire Performer – Dec 4th
- Storytellers – Dec 11th
- Singing Circle – December 18th
Plus:
- Free sauna with towels, t-shirts, and water
- Hot drinks
- Kubb and winter lawn games
- Fire pits and s’mores
Sponsored by the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis, Minneapolis and produced by The Musicant Group. Little Box Sauna (LBS) was conceived, designed, built and deployed as an experimental Creative Placemaking project by Andrea Johnson and Molly Reichert.
