The MacPhail Spotlight Series showcases the exceptional talents of MacPhail teaching artists and special guests, providing an intimate listening experience in MacPhail's Antonello Hall. Under the artistic direction of Mischa Santora, this series will be brought to life with collaborations from some of the Twin Cities' finest artists.
Tonights Spotlight: Musical Journeys from Paris to New York
Revel in the cultural contrasts and similarities of this musical journey between the two iconic cities of Paris and New York. This program captures the excitement and energy from the Big Apple to the sights and sounds of the French capital in the 1920s and beyond. Featuring performances by faculty members Lucinda Marvin, violin; Greg Theisen, piano; Tom Pieper, bass; Paul Babcock, drums; Greg Keel, saxophone; Vicky Mountain, vocals; Pinar Basgőze, piano; Susana Pinto, piano. Special guests Henry Lebedinsky, harpsichord; and Christina Baldwin and Dominique Serrand from The Moving Company will also be featured.
