Location: MacPhail Center for Music, 501 2nd Street South

The MacPhail Spotlight Series showcases the finest musicians in six concerts staged in MacPhail’s stunning Antonello Hall. This ticketed performance series features MacPhail faculty with special guests and provides an intimate listening experience for lovers of classical, jazz, folk and more. A unique feature of the Series is the post-concert reception where guests meet the artists while enjoying light refreshments.

Tonights Spotlight:

Texture, Trills and Timbre
Savor a vibrant mix of romantic melodies and rich textures from some of the finest composers of the early 20th Century. From Shostakovich to Ravel, experience the virtuosic music from this period of change. Featured performers: Carrie Vecchione, oboe and Ann Benjamin, harp; Lucinda Marvin, violin; Lucia Magney, cello; Jason Alfred, piano; Allison Hall, trumpet; Edward Hong, trumpet; Timothy Bradley, horn; Alex Wolff, trombone; Nick Adragna, tuba; Robert Dorer, trumpet.
