An Evening of Regional Folk Songs

The Minneapolis Ukrainian Community will have an opportunity to hear from one of Canada's most revered Ukrainian choirs November 12 and 13. The Oleksander Koshetz Choir (O. Koshetz Choir), a Ukrainian Canadian choir with a 70-year history, will embark on a tour to Minneapolis with a concert performance at the Ukrainian Event Centre on November 12. The choir, directed by Miroslava Paches, is one of Winnipeg, Manitoba's most celebrated community choirs. The tour coincides with the choir's 70th anniversary. Admission is $20 at the door. The public is invited to join the choir to celebrate Ukrainian culture through music. The O. Koshetz Choir also will visit Saint Constantine Ukrainian Catholic Church, 515 University Ave. NE, as a guest choir for the traditional liturgy at 10 am on Sunday, November 13.
