May 22, 2017, Monday - 125 Years of Wesley

Time: 5:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: Historic Wesley Center, 101 E Grant Street

125 Years of Wesley

Join Historic Wesley Center in celebrating 125 years of presence and impact in Minneapolis!

On May 22, 1892, our building was dedicated as Wesley Methodist Episcopal Church. Seen as the "Mother Church of Methodism" and a crowning achievement for architect Warren H. Hayes, Wesley actively served the Minneapolis area as a place of sacred value, local and global activism, and community gathering. Today, Wesley's legacy continues through the work of Historic Wesley Center and its cooperative model of non-profit tenants and event space.

125 years to the day of dedication, we will be hosting an evening of historic architectural tours, commemoration service, dessert reception, and celebration exhibition.

5-6:30pm: Architectural tours*
7:00pm: Commemoration service
7:30-9pm: Dessert reception and celebration exhibition

*Tours require pre-registration. To register, please follow link: https://historicwesleycenter.eventsmart.com/?p=9

All events are free, but a suggested donation of $5-10/person is suggested. Proceeds will benefit stained glass restoration efforts. Donations can be made through our website at https://www.historicwesleycenter.com/new-events/
