Flying Through the Air

Watch a selection of wildly creative Polish animation for children from the 1960s and 70s with all manner of colorful forms and playful characters. Come early to listen to live Polka music before the program.

Cat And Mouse, Wladyslaw Nehrebecki, National Audiovisual Institute, 1958. 8 min. A mad, mod chase begins after a mouse, by mistake, brings to life a drawing of a cat.
An Adventure in Stripes, Alina Maliszewska, National Audiovisual Institute, 1960. 11 min. A love story about two unusual black and white striped elephants.
