May 20, 2017, Saturday - 5th Annual Foodie 4 Mile at B.F. Nelson Park

Time: 8:00am

Location: B.F. Nelson Park, 400 Marshall Street NE

Registration - Facebook

Come Join us in Northeast Minneapolis as we celebrate Opening Day of our Farmers Market with the Foodie Four Mile, a fun-run/walk. The route will encompass the Historic St. Anthony Falls Historic Milling District and offer stunning downtown views.  Starting in B.F. Nelson Park in Northeast the course follows the Mississippi River crossing the Stone Arch Bridge, through the west-side wooded parks, then returns Northeast on the Plymouth Bridge.  Oh, and watch out for that hill headed to the finish line!

The Foodie Four Mile is a fundraiser for the Northeast Farmers Market and the Food Group's "Harvest For the Hungry" program. The Food Group is an innovative food bank serving the hunger needs of Minnesota’s changing communities. Their Harvest for the Hungry programs purchase fresh, locally-grown produce from CSA farms to provide to Minnesota households facing hunger.  This not only helps local food banks, it supports local farmers producing crops for people, not conglomerates.
