Ten Thousand Things presents: The Changelings

Ten Thousand Things concludes its season with the world premiere of The Changelings, a show written specifically for TTT by Kira Obolensky, the company’s playwright-in-residence. The show is directed by Michelle Hensley and features Shá Cage, Joy Dolo, Kurt Kwan, Kimberly Richardson, Luverne Seifert and Ricardo Vazquez. The Changelings is set in Threadsville, where the women all work in a rope factory and the men spend their time in betting parlors. The plums are ripe outside, and the radio reports a record year for rope, but inside the crumbling Cragg house, Goat has been wearing the same clothes for 23 years and her husband, Freshface, is out of luck. One day, a man claiming to be the couple’s long-disappeared child, now grown, appears at the front door, forcing the Craggs to reckon with grief, belief, hope and change.

Tickets are $30. Pay what you can for audiences under age 30 -- please present ID at the door.
