More about this event:
Simply put, sisters Louise and Heid Erdrich are powerhouses. Both have national reputations for their writing, with over 30 published books of prose and poetry between them. Since 2001, Louise has owned Birchbark Books and Native Arts, an independent bookstore in Minneapolis. In 2008, the sisters founded Birchbark House, an organization dedicated to the revitalization of Ojibwe language.

Join us for a discussion with these accomplished women and community leaders about how they interweave their professional and creative endeavors. Heid will read from her latest collection of poetry, Cell Traffic, and Louise will give a special preview reading from her forthcoming novel, The Round House, which will be released in October 2012.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the literary programs of The Loft Literary Center.
