Children’s and Young Adult Literature Conference

May 18 – 19

Children’s and young adult literature is the hottest market in publishing right now, but what makes these stories so compelling and successful? How does an aspiring author wade his or her way through all the age groups, publishing options and content ideas and still write a good story?

The Loft’s Children’s and Young Adult Literature Conference will help attendees answer these questions while connecting fellow writers through tracks on the subjects of craft, picture books, middle grade and young adult, and publishing and career. Keynotes David Small, Sarah Stewart and Donna Bray will be complemented by other talented writers for children including Swati Avasthi, William Alexander, Barbara DaCosta, Kelly Barnhill, Heather Bouwman, Lynne Jonell, Bryan Bliss, Steve Brezenoff, Georgia Greeley, Pat Schmatz and Kurtis Scaletta.

Cost: $250 ($225 for Loft members).
