In spring 2015, Cubans attended the Summit of the Americas, where President Raul Castro met with President Obama in the first face-to-face meeting between leaders of the two countries in more than 50 years. Later, the Minnesota Orchestra traveled and performed in Cuba. Speaker Marcy Shapiro, a member of the Minnesota Cuba Committee who has traveled to Cuba numerous times, will share Cuban history and travel tips.
