March 24, 2012, Saturday - Spotlight Series at MacPhail

Time:  8:00pm

Location: MacPhail Center for Music, 501 2nd Street South

The MacPhail Spotlight Series showcases the finest musicians in six concerts staged in MacPhail’s stunning Antonello Hall. This ticketed performance series features MacPhail faculty with special guests and provides an intimate listening experience for lovers of classical, jazz, folk and more. A unique feature of the Series is the post-concert reception where guests meet the artists while enjoying light refreshments.

Tonights Spotlight:

European Landscapes

Take a musical journey through Europe as you listen to the soothing sounds of Scandinavia and to the powerful and noble strings of great English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams. Travel further south to hear the unique and imaginative work of Czech composer Erwin Schulhoff as he showcases the flute and piano. You'll be transported to another place and time on this musical adventure.
