Michael J. Lansing, associate professor of history at Augsburg College and author of the recent “Insurgent Democracy: The Nonpartisan League in North American Politics,” will offer a new look at the Nonpartisan League in 1915. The League, which sought to empower citizens and restrain corporate influence, mounted one of the most significant challenges to party politics America has ever seen.
