March 22, 2017, Wednesday - Peavey Plaza Public Input Meeting at Orchestra Hall

Time: 4:30pm

Location: Ochestra Hall, Green Room, 1111 Nicollet Mall

The public is invited to give input during the planning stages of rehabilitation design of Peavey Plaza. A team led by Minneapolis-based landscape architecture firm Coen+ partners architecture firm will focus on improving the plaza while preserving its historic assets. The project team will focus on refurbishing the fountains and reflecting basin, concrete repairs, utility upgrades and making the plaza accessible to people with disabilities. The next meeting is at 4:30 next Wednesday, March 22nd, in the Green Room at Orchestra Hall. Another meeting is planned in late April, and then, after schematic design is completed, the City will have stakeholder meetings every two to three months until the detailed design is completed in early fall. The goal is to have construction work done by the end of 2018.

For more information about the meeting or this process, contact Erin Hanafin Berg, PAM’s Director of Policy and Services, or see the city’s Peavey Plaza webpage.
