Colonel Sibley and the 3rd Minnesota in the Dakota Uprising of 1862

Noted Civil War historian Dr. Joseph Fitzharris will examine the experience of the 3rd Minnesota Volunteer Infantry in the 1862 Dakota War. Captured by Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest in July, they were exchanged and returned to Minnesota by August 1862.
