June 30, 2019, Sunday - Mystery of Cats: Cat Art Festival

Time: 12 noon – 8 pm

Location: A-Mill Artist Lofts, 315 Main St. SE

Mystery of Cats: Cat Art Festival

Presented by Mrakmur and Purr Party

“In ancient times cats were worshipped as gods; they have not forgotten this.” (Terry Pratchett)

Cats play an important role in religion, myths and legends around the world. The Ancient Egyptians worshipped a Cat Goddess Bastet, who had a powerful role in religion. Folk tales often refer to the different powers of the cat. Cat lovers nowadays unite to celebrate the beloved felines, who are forever in our minds and hearts.

We welcome all cat lovers and friends to our special event: Mystery of Cats – a Cat Art Festival!
It’s all about cats, cats and nothing but the cats! Discover the mysteries of our favorite animals at our family friendly event!

The event will feature:

• Cat-themed artwork
• Cat music & cat videos
• Cat non-profits & rescues
• Live painting by Charlene Perkey
• Tarot by Geek Girl Tarot
• Face Painting by Smart Face Painting MN
• Arts & Crafts station
• Silent Auction - All proceeds go to Diabetic Cat Help, www.diabeticcathelp.com and Diabetic Cats in Need, www.dcin.info , volunteer run groups fighting feline diabetes. Diabetic Cat Help helped organizer's diabetic cat to go into remission.
