“Songs for Shangilia” with performances by MacPhail Community Youth Choir, directed by J.D. Steele and special guests The Steeles and Emma Tyler.

Tickets: $30/ticket (21+); 20 and under are free at the door – no presale.

Proceeds support the Shangilia Performing Arts program in Kenya.

The Shangilia Performing Arts Center is a child rescue center and residence for homeless children in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya. This center will be the new home of the Shangilia Youth Choir of Kenya, which is a youth performance group, ages 10-21, directed by singer/director/composer J.D. Steele. The Center provides performing arts training to the children that live at Shangilia, building self-confidence, teamwork, and the concept of excellence in these children that would otherwise be lost.
